Noise action plan (2024)
Noise is one of the environmental problems of our time that is most clearly perceived by the public. A significant proportion of this noise stems from transport related to mobility and economic activity.
To protect people from these harmful environmental impacts, the EU Environmental Noise Directive established a uniform Europe-wide approach to reduce or entirely prevent environmental noise and its consequences.
In implementing the EU Environmental Noise Directive, the town of Radebeul is obliged to draw up a noise action plan in accordance with Section 47e of the Federal Immission Control Act.
The town of Radebeul adopted a noise action plan as early as 2018. In 2022, the town’s key transport routes were remapped.
The current noise action plan builds on the noise mapping carried out in 2022. In the process, the objectives set out in the 2018 noise action plan were evaluated and updated, and the local authority’s scope for action was reassessed.
The draft Noise Action Plan was made available for public inspection from 2 April 2024 to 3 May 2024, in accordance with the notice published in the Official Gazette of the town of Radebeul on 1 April 2024. The comments received were assessed as set out in the annex to the Noise Action Plan.
On 22 May 2024, the City Council unanimously adopted the 2024 Noise Action Plan in the version dated 8 May 2024 by Resolution SR 38/24-19/24.
