Further noise measurements at the youth and cultural centre "White House"
09.05.2026
Various noise measurements will be carried out at the "White House" youth and cultural centre at Kötzschenbrodaer Straße 60 in Radebeul until probably the end of June 2026. Proper noise measurement requires detailed planning and implementation by a trained and competent person. To this end, the city of Radebeul has commissioned a noise immission control expert to record and assess all noise events affecting a specific location.
The aim of these extensive noise measurements around the "White House" is to determine the noise levels caused by the operation of the building at various locations in the surrounding neighbourhood. The affected neighbours are involved in the processes. As the utilisation concept for the business will be revised on the basis of the noise measurements, the measurements must clearly show which immissions actually reach the respective neighbours from the "White House" and at what level (decibels).
The types of noise, such as music, are measured individually and independently of each other on different days from the various rooms in the building, music in the outdoor area and use of the skate park. Only in this way is it possible to clearly assign the immissions arriving in the neighbourhood to the respective noise sources (emission locations) from the "White House" and to evaluate them accordingly in the usage concept.
JuCo Soziale Arbeit gGmbH, as the operator of the house, coordinates the measurements in close cooperation with the noise protection expert and the city administration. The specialists Peter Heilsberg and Robert Kaiser from JuCo Soziale Arbeit gGmbH will be happy to answer any questions regarding the implementation of the measurements.
The data from the measurements will initially be analysed internally. On the basis of these results, the future utilisation concept of the building will be legally secured. The aim is to promote neighbourly coexistence and to make the operation of the "White House" youth and cultural centre sustainable and compatible for everyone involved.
