  • The Karl May grave is a stop on the cemetery tour

In April, Radebeul is once again launching its season of diverse guided tours and experiences that bring the special combination of wine, history and landscape to life.

Among the bookable offers is the Radebeul-Ost cemetery tour, which provides exciting insights into local history and important personalities.

The tour guide Jens Scherf is offering the first guided tour this year on Sunday, 19 April 2024 at 11.00 am.

Registration is required by calling 0351 8311-830 or by emailing >> www.radebeul.de/friedhofsfuehrung.

Jens Scherf talks about great personalities and interesting people, manufacturers and artists who worked in Radebeul and left their mark here.

He shows interesting and sometimes elaborately designed gravestones. His 90-minute tour of the Radebeul-Ost cemetery is a special experience.
The green oasis was created during the construction of the Luther Church in 1890 and is home to the graves of the May and Bilz families, among others. As early as 1901, the area was almost doubled when Section II was newly laid out. The meeting point is the south entrance to the cemetery in Radebeul-Ost, Friedhofstraße. The guided tour costs €10.00 per person.

You can find out more about the public guided tours at www.radebeul.de/fuehrungen.

The staff at the Radebeul Tourist Information Centre, Hauptstraße 12, will also be happy to advise you from Monday to Friday from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm.
