Extensions in the Radebeul citizen app
09.09.2021
The Radebeul citizen app, online since May this year, is constantly being expanded with new sections and functions.
The "News" section now also contains information on Radebeul's markets and the upcoming general election, including the online application for a polling card.
The Radebeul citizen app is also now available in an accessible mode. The changeover is very easy in the menu. "This function is very important for people with visual impairments," explains Angela Seidel, Radebeul's representative for the disabled, adding: "The buttons are displayed larger, the contrast is increased and images and icons are largely dispensed with and replaced by text so that the read-aloud function integrated into the devices can read the text on the buttons aloud."

A brand new feature is that information in the form of a red circle with the number of new content items can be seen on the icons of the individual sections. In the filter settings area, there is an overview of the new content received in the last 14 days. You can also see whether the new content has already been opened or not. The most recent content is marked with a red frame.
"The Radebeul citizen app will continue to be continuously improved and expanded. We are happy to take on board any suggestions and requests from users. For example, the symbols in the app (icons) have grown a bit with the version update for better readability, even in the standard version," adds Daniela Bollmann, Head of the Central Control Centre.
