A short guided tour of the local history museum
Short guided tours of the permanent, special and cabinet exhibitions take place at 4.00 pm, 4.30 pm, 5.00 pm and 5.30 pm. To mark the museum’s 20th anniversary, the theme ‘Why Home?’ takes centre stage, inviting visitors to discover the region’s history.

The Kötzschenbroda Local History Museum is situated in the former outbuilding of a historic three-sided farmstead in the heart of Altkötzschenbroda. The lovingly designed exhibition vividly brings to life the history, development and everyday life of the original community of Kötzschenbroda – from archaeological finds and personal mementoes to changing special exhibitions. The experience is complemented by guided tours of the local history museum and the historic village green, which offer fascinating insights into the town’s history.
