The wheelchair user is safer when travelling with the front wheel
You can see Tino Lowke's relief and joy. " I spend a lot of time travelling with my wheelchair, playing table tennis and basketball. Now I can even use the front wheel, which provides more stability, as a carrier."
The advice centre for people in special circumstances, older people and people with disabilities was able to provide unbureaucratic help and sponsor the €2,100 extension with €1,500. Silke Haferkorn, an employee at the advice centre, got in touch with Mr Lowke via the Initiative Group for People with Limited Mobility. "Uneven surfaces, such as cobblestones, have caused Mr Lowke to fall out of his wheelchair several times. The extension gives him security, especially when using public transport."
