“L’amore” – The Allure of Wine, Art & Culture

At this year’s 34th Autumn and Wine Festival, taking place from 18 to 20 September 2026 in conjunction with the 29th International Travelling Theatre Festival, visitors will experience an enchanting festival full of passion and devotion under the motto “L’amore”.

Set against an autumnal backdrop, romantic theatre productions and exquisite Saxon wines blend to create an unforgettable treat for all the senses. The fusion of love, art and indulgence is reflected in impressive street theatre performances that enchant the audience with international rhythms, heartfelt dance performances and rousing music.

But it is not only on the stages that life pulsates: over 40 wine taverns and traditional farmsteads in Altkötzschenbroda open their doors to invite guests on a journey of discovery through the diverse world of Saxon wine culture. The specially created 2026 Special Wine Edition celebrates the harmonious blend of wine, art and theatre in a unique way.

A wide range of hands-on activities, such as romantic pony rides and other experiences, create unforgettable moments full of joy and a sense of community – love is very much at the heart of it all!

The grand finale on Sunday evening on the picturesque banks of the Elbe provides the crowning glory: a spectacular fire and theatre show combines with the ceremonial presentation of the audience award, bringing the festival weekend to a glittering close.
