Filled with fascination and passion for the annual travelling theatre spectacle, the Friends’ Association welcomes guests to the 29th International Travelling Theatre Festival with the 20th Special Wine Edition!
Nearly 50 association members have come together in the spirit of international travelling theatre to bring the colourful hustle and bustle – on stilts, in squares and meadows, in courtyards, high up in the air or in a marquee – to life for everyone to enjoy!
As enthusiastic lovers of street theatre, we wish to preserve the wonderful interplay between wine and art and offer our support to continue this connection and constantly reinvent it.
With the 350 bottles of our special edition wine, we are creating a very special wine bottle to mark the festival. A fine Radebeul wine, featuring an artist-designed label in keeping with the festival’s theme, perfectly captures this connection between wine and art.
This year, we were delighted to have César Olhagaray design this label. He has taken the theme ‘L’amore’ and brought it to life in a fitting way. Come and enjoy a 2025 Kerner from Andreas Kretschko at the Friends’ Association stand, accompanied by the enchanting sounds of the Theatre Carousel. Theatrical scenes in all their diversity can once again be found at the familiar venues, and one thing is certainly not to be missed: the Theatre Carousel!
Our association is able to cover the costs of transporting and erecting this poetic structure by Georg Traber thanks to a financial grant from Sparkasse. Take a seat, enjoy the enchanting sounds and let yourself be swept away on this little journey! On the Elbe meadows, the performers from UliK Robotic will be presenting two interwoven pieces.
Thanks to the financial support of the Friends’ Association, it is possible to enjoy this composition of poetic imagery and breathtaking artistry. With ‘Pas de Deux’ and ‘RoboPlane’, an extraordinary choreography unfolds at the boundaries of aerodynamics between the three protagonists. A somewhat rebellious robot thwarts the plans for a romantic rendezvous between a woman and a man.
The encounter between this trio develops into a interplay of dance, theatre and acrobatics, blurring the boundaries between human and machine.
