Good Habits are a dynamic indie-folk band with a special gift for transforming existential thoughts into bursts of optimism. With vocals, cello, accordion, synths and drums, their sound is virtuosic, cinematic and joyfully genre-bending: part folk storytelling, part groovy live energy.

Founded by singer and cellist Bonnie Schwarz and accordionist/synth player Pete Shaw, the band’s story began during the pandemic in New Zealand, where the pair found themselves stranded and shaped their musical identity through adventure, connection and creativity. In 2025, drummer Jen Walinetski brought a fresh rhythmic drive to the band, making their live shows even more electrifying.

Their UK Top 40 Folk Charts album *Quarter-Life* received praise from BBC Radio and led to appearances at Glastonbury, WOMAD, Cambridge, Green Man and many other festivals. With a new album on the horizon, Good Habits are turning the page on their next chapter: full of vivid stories, playful energy and pure musical joy.
