Another aid transport arrived in Obukhiv at the end of 2024

After Kinderarche Sachsen had sent 2,000 Christmas parcels to the Ukrainian twin town of Obukhiv, another aid transport was sent to Obukhiv at the end of December 2024.
Urgently needed emergency power generators were sent to Obukhiv and arrived safely on 26 December 2024.
The city administration and the inhabitants of Obukhiv are very grateful for the humanitarian support from Radebeul!
The Ukrainian twin city of Obukhiv had asked for support, specifically for the delivery of urgently needed generators. In order to make this aid delivery possible, donations totalling €50,000 were raised via the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development's Engagement Global service. The remaining costs were covered by the city council resolution of 18 December 2024 using donations from the city of Radebeul.
There are currently large-scale power cuts in Ukraine, including in Obukhiv, where electricity is only available for a few hours a day. The generators are to be used primarily in schools and daycare centres.
