Asphalt paving in BA2 and trial tram operation

Asphalt paving has been completed on the side roads leading into the second construction phase (BA2). Work is currently focussed on the jointing and road marking. The surface paving on the southern footpath between Hauptstraße and E.-Bilz-Straße is also being completed. At the same time, work will begin on the remaining work and rectification of defects in the first construction phase (BA1) and the tram overhead line systems will be further expanded.
From 3 November 2024, preparations will begin in the Radebeul West and Weinböhla sections for the reopening of the tram line. The focus here will be on grinding the tracks and trial railway operation. The necessary tracks will be pulled through the construction site at night using a towing vehicle. In addition, new tram drivers will be familiarised with and trained on this special, single-track section of the line.
