Asphalt paving in BA2 and installation of overhead lines for the tramway

The asphalt paving in the second construction phase (BA2) is nearing completion. In the coming weeks, the asphalt will also be completed in the side streets leading into the road.
At the same time, the construction of the overhead line systems for the tramway has begun in the entire construction section. This work requires alternating closures of carriageways and footpaths in the area between Kiefernstraße and Louisenstraße. In order to keep traffic flowing as smoothly as possible, the diversion route will be adapted to the construction progress. We ask all road users to observe the changed diversion. The August-Bebel-Straße junction will remain largely passable, with only brief closures for construction vehicles to pass between the two construction phases. The construction work will mainly be carried out at night in order to minimise disruption to traffic during the day.
