»Wenn's Raachermannel naabelt« and caresses the »kleinen grünen Kaktus« with its scent, then the beloved pre-Christmas season begins every year for the Dresdner Zwinger Singers, four male voices a cappella. Charmingly and with a lot of heart, they combine the contemplation and warmth of Advent songs with the unforgettable hits and their stories from back then, when the good old gramophone still made hearts beat faster. Many of these evergreen evergreens, which still touch and inspire today, already had our grandparents flocking round the speakers.
The variety of music performed by the vocal quartet is impressive. From the old song »Innsbruck, ich muss Dich lassen« to the musical question »Fährt dieser Zug nach Kötzschenbroda?«, from the fire of »Spanish Nights« to the anticipation of »Alle Jahre wieder« - songs from over four centuries ring through the programme. And as interaction with their audience has always been important to the gentlemen from the very first concert, the quartet can also transform into a polyphonic choir from time to time...
More than four decades ago, the four vocal prodigies - at that time still boys at the Special School of Music in Dresden - came together to dedicate themselves to male quartet singing and to prove the contemporary suitability of this tradition, which was wrongly considered outdated. Thanks to the wealth of experience gained from many years of working together on a broad repertoire, the rare concerts of the Dresdner Zwinger Singers are not only always a pleasure to listen to. The humorous stage presence of the four gentlemen and their informal interaction with each other and their audience round off the special quality of the experience when they meet from time to time to dream of old times together and bring their songs back to life.

Single tickets in advance €22.00,
24.00 on the day of the event from 3 p.m. and €11.00 for schoolchildren, apprentices and students

The price includes the opportunity to visit the Saxon Wine Museum on the day of the concert as well as a glass of sparkling wine from the Hoflößnitz or optionally a non-alcoholic drink, which will be served from 1 hour before the concert. All prices include 7 % VAT.

Admission is from 30 minutes before the concert begins.
