Winery Steffen Schabehorn

Wine-making has been a family tradition for the Schabehorns for over 400 years. What began as a sideline developed into the Steffen Schabehorn Winery as we know it today, situated directly on the Saxon Wine Route, in the year 2000.

Around 15,000 bottles are bottled each year, all of which are matured in the estate’s own cellar.

In the "Meißner Kapitelberg" and "Proschwitzer Katzensprung" vineyards, the varieties Müller-Thurgau, Riesling, Bacchus and Kerner are grown, as well as the red wine varieties Pinot Noir, Regent and Dornfelder.

In the summer of 2026, the winery won seven silver and gold medals at the international AWC Vienna competition.
