Solo Sunny

Sunny seems to have made it and realised her dream: she makes music and can live from her singing. She used to work in production, together with her friend Christine, but now people want to hear her voice. She is beautiful and many an admirer is allowed to come home with her overnight, but without breakfast, and she has to fend off many an admirer. Harry, the taxi driver, for example, is very much in love with Sunny. Her band mate Norbert thinks he is the best man for her and becomes abusive when she rejects him. She herself loses her heart to the philosopher Ralph and the band breaks up. Back in production, however, the dazzling Sunny can't stand it and fights for her dream of music.
The GDR film classic by Konrad Wolf and Wolfgang Kohlhaase from 1980 can be experienced on stage in the 2025/26 season. The film, which featured a prominent cast and won numerous awards, took its viewers to a Berlin that no longer exists today, and the stage version revives the familiar and lets them discover something new - with lots of music, of course.
