For many years, the horn class at the Heinrich Schütz Conservatory in Dresden has been an example of outstanding support for young talent. The young musicians have won prizes at »Jugend musiziert« and are members of select ensembles in Saxony such as the State Youth Orchestra or the Junge Bläserphilharmonie Sachsen. Former pupils are studying or have already made playing the horn their profession.

Under the direction and moderation of Andreas Roth, a varied programme ranging from Renaissance music to romantic soundscapes and modern compositions awaits you at this concert. The diversity of the French horn in its various tonal colours will be impressively audible and tangible.

Andreas Roth studied with Prof Peter Damm from 1988 to 1993 and has been teaching at the Heinrich Schütz Conservatory since 1998. He is also a specialist advisor for brass instruments for the Free State of Saxony, a lecturer in brass teaching practice at the Carl Maria von Weber University of Music Dresden and a board member of Sinfonietta Dresden e.V., which has just been honoured with the Art Prize of the State Capital Dresden 2025.

Single tickets in advance €22.00,
24.00 on the day of the event from 3 pm and €11.00 for schoolchildren, apprentices and students

The price includes the opportunity to visit the Saxon Wine Museum on the day of the concert as well as a glass of sparkling wine from the Hoflößnitz or optionally a non-alcoholic drink, which will be served from 1 hour before the concert. All prices include 7 % VAT.

Admission is from 30 minutes before the concert begins.
