Sternwarte Radebeul

How the constellations came to be in the sky

Event for primary schools

Why do we see a Great Bear, a raven or the hunter Orion in the sky? Thousands of years ago, people began to link stars together to form figures and told each other stories about how they came to be.

This planetarium programme recounts the most beautiful legends behind the constellations. Gods, heroes and animals come to life, and we explain how they came to occupy their places in the sky.

We’ll also show the current night sky in a live segment.
