Old Hermione doesn't want to be consigned to the scrap heap, doesn't want to rust in the corner. She still wants to be in the centre of life. That's why she travels around telling children fairy tales - today "The Bremen Town Musicians".

Hermann bursts into her quiet story. He is also old, driven onto the road, travelling somewhere with his belongings and his guitar. And Hermann has a roguish streak in his neck and juice in his old bones. A new wind blows through Hermione's story, blows fresh in her face and drives them both into adventure. A jumper screams "I-aa", a jacket collar gets legs, a pair of water pump pliers flutter through the air, two socks turn out to be sinister companions. Suddenly the two old men are on the road, together with a donkey, dog, cat and cockerel. On the way to ... Bremen?!
