VFD Regional Association Saxony e.V.

The Association of Leisure Riders and Drivers in Germany (VFD) is a nationwide organisation that is particularly committed to the interests of leisure riders and drivers.

It was founded with the aim of promoting leisure riding and driving as a natural, cooperative and responsible form of equestrian sport. The focus is on the species-appropriate keeping of equidae, safety in handling them and respectful co-operation between riders, drivers, landowners and other users of nature.

The VFD Saxony regional organisation actively implements these goals in the Free State of Saxony. We are particularly committed to improving the law on bridleways in Saxony and expanding a network of usable bridleways. In addition, we offer training and further education, organise rides and riding events and represent the interests of leisure riders and drivers in dealings with the authorities and politicians.
