Pure nostalgia with the "Lößnitzdackel"

The Lößnitzgrundbahn has been puffing along between Radebeul-Ost, Moritzburg and Radeburg every day for over 140 years. Travelling on the train also takes you on a journey back in time. Fans are treated to a very scenic journey with the highlight of the train ride over the Dippelsdorf pond, which the narrow-gauge railway crosses over a 210-metre-long embankment.
On the way, the "Lößnitzdackel" - as the people of Radebeul affectionately call it - makes a stop in Moritzburg. The Wettin hunting lodge became famous thanks to the TV film "Three Nuts for Cinderella" and attracts thousands of visitors every year. It is also home to one of the oldest inland lighthouses in Germany.
The Lößnitzgrundbahn, together with the traditional railway association, regularly offers special trips. In winter in particular, St Nicholas, mulled wine and evening trips along the romantically illuminated railway line attract visitors.
