The 32nd Karl May Festival, entitled "Mythos Winnetou", will be dedicated to the 150th birthday of the famous character. A varied programme for young and old will bring the world of Karl May to life. Highlights include the breathtaking theatre productions of the Landesbühnen Sachsen, real western camps, rousing country sounds and the popular star rider parade.
Indigenous artists such as Neil Diamond (Cree), the Jones Benally Family (Navajo), Nuvassie Blacksmith (Lakota) and Kevin Manygoats (Navajo) will bring their culture to life with traditional dances, storytelling and workshops.
