For the third time now, the employees of the Meißen district health authority will be presenting their services on Health Authority Day. On Sunday, 23 March 2025, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., there will be lots of information and hands-on activities on the topic of health at the Meißen Vocational School Centre (BSZ, Goethestraße 21).
This year, the focus will be on brushing teeth properly. Schnappi - the crocodile - will motivate and give valuable tips. In a workshop, the youngest children will learn what to do in dangerous situations - from emergency calls to wound care.
Participants can test their own coordination and find out what addiction can do to their lives. From 11 a.m. onwards, there will be presentations on the topic of "addiction" every hour on the hour. The topics range from gambling and excessive media use to cannabis.
The staff also provide extensive counselling and information services on topics such as tuberculosis, drinking water quality, travel vaccinations and AIDS/HIV. Pregnancy counselling, tumour counselling and advice from the social psychiatric service are also available on site.
The staff of the Meißen district health authority are looking forward to welcoming many visitors.
