Corona test centres in the district of Meißen finish their work

From 1 March 2023, visitors, employees, residents and patients of medical facilities will no longer be entitled to a coronavirus test. Since 16 January 2023, the entitlement to free citizen testing for "free testing" has already ceased. For this reason, the Meißen district health authority has revoked the authorisation of all commissioned coronavirus test centres with effect from 28 February 2023.
As of 1 March 2023, there will also be further changes to the mask requirement: The obligation to wear a mask will only apply to visitors to doctors' surgeries, hospitals and nursing homes. Employees and residents, on the other hand, are exempt from the obligation to wear masks.
The domestic authority of the affected medical and care facilities remains unaffected by the federal government's decision. The facilities can decide which protective measures are necessary, particularly for vulnerable groups, depending on local circumstances.
