Lidl has modernised the shop in Radebeul-Ost, Meißner Straße 41, placing great emphasis on creating a pleasant shopping atmosphere.
"This shop has been around for twelve years and many customers shop here regularly", says Lidl store manager Cornelius Kührt. "Therefore, we are all the more pleased that after four weeks of modernisation, we can once again present our customers with their usual shop in a beautiful and modern look."

To mark the reopening, Second Mayor Winfried Lehmann took a seat at the Lidl checkout at 9 a.m. for a good cause and scanned customers' purchases. Lidl donated all the proceeds from this campaign to a social organisation of its choice.

As part of the modernisation, Lidl expanded the sales area of the shop in Radebeul-Ost by 200 square metres to around 1,200 square metres. This created space for wider aisles and an attractive presentation of goods.
Other measures included the installation of a new bakery shelf, a new tiled floor, a new ceiling, painting the walls, remodelling the deposit room, installing a modern shopping trolley box and remodelling the staff and sanitary areas. Outside the shop, the façade was clad with Alucobond to make it more attractive. The car park with its 114 customer parking spaces was both refurbished and extended, and an e-charging station was installed where customers can charge their vehicles with a capacity of 22 kilowatts.
