Wild bee nature trail

The nature trail comprises five stations. Each of them deals with a local speciality. The signs provide information about wild bee habitats and the plant and wild bee species found there. BUND has created new habitats at three locations for this purpose.

The educational trail starts near the Radebeul-Weintraube S-Bahn station. The first sign is located on a newly created flowering meadow at the Lößnitzgymnasium. Stations two and three can be found at the Hoflößnitz vineyard; they provide information about the newly created so-called Sandarium and about vineyards as wild bee habitats. From there, the trail leads to the Spitzhaustreppe, where sign no. 4 on the left awaits sporty and interested guests. The topic there is the discovery of the extremely rare red two-toothed bee on the grounds of the Schloss Wackerbarth vineyard in 2022. The nature trail ends at the most beautiful vantage point in Radebeul, the Spitzhaus. Here, BUND has created a perennial area with typical vineyard plant species in collaboration with Naturgarten e.V.
