City archive
The Radebeul municipal archive has been working in a challenging situation since December 2023 - everyday work and tasks have to be coordinated for two interim locations. The former "Pharmapark Radebeul" (Meißner Straße 191/Haus 2) houses parts of the interim archive, the civil status documents and a large part of the building file archive. Due to the limited space there, a location outside Radebeul had to be found for the files of the old municipalities, archives of the numerous collections, etc.
Thanks to structured working methods and good organisational management, archive services can be offered to almost the full extent.
Please submit enquiries in writing, preferably by e-mail. The current processing time for requests is 3 to 4 weeks. Files can only be accessed in person by prior appointment. Therefore, please refrain from spontaneous visits to the city archive.
The City Archive team thanks you for your understanding.
The Radebeul municipal archive is a public institution of the large district town of Radebeul and an active information service provider with a diverse and extensive range of holdings:
- Securing, evaluating, indexing, analysing, making usable and accessible written, digital and audiovisual sources worthy of archiving
- Providing information on enquiries and direct use in the reading room
- Preservation through restoration work
- Public relations and historical education work
Based on the current legal situation of the Saxon Archives Act and the existing archive statutes, the archive holdings enable legal certainty and transparency of administrative action.
