Adult education centre in the district of Meißen e.V.

The courses offered by the VHS in the district of Meißen are diverse and range from language courses, creative and craft courses to vocational training and health programmes. The courses cater for current social needs as well as individual interests and abilities. Various cross-generational taster courses are planned as part of the Karl May Festival.

The following activities are on offer for the Karl May Festival:

• Indian glass bead embroidery: I create my own bead bracelet.
• Drumming on the bass drum: We drum together and sing along.
• Falconry presentation: experience birds of prey up close
• Furriery: we sew and make things from skins and leather, e.g. bracelets, pom-poms, small leather bags
• Making amulets/dream catchers: we make our own amulets and talismans or dream catchers with leather scraps, colourful fabrics, natural materials and healing stones.
• Archery: Try your hand at archery
• "Wild plants"" hands-on activity: We create delicious sweets from wild plants and flowers. (Sunday only)
