Radebeul Christmas lottery - not only the ticket buyers win here

17.11.2020

The sale of 10,000 raffle tickets started for the 11th time on 11 November. Not only does this give you the chance to win great prizes, you can also do good at the same time by buying a ticket for €1, as 100 per cent of the proceeds go to social projects in Radebeul.
The campaign is once again being organised by the Radebeul Social Alliance, an association of 10 charitable organisations and a business association."This year, we have once againsucceeded in organising attractive prizes that every winner can look forward to", says Elmar Günther, Head of the Office for Education, Youth and Social Affairs in Radebeul.
This year, the Radebeul Social Alliance will use the proceeds of hopefully €10,000 to support the Radebeul food bank, the women's refuge, the German Child Protection Association Radebeul, Team Radebeul, JuCo Soziale Arbeit gGmbH and the Radebeul Family Centre. The women's refuge can buy tickets for this, as can the food bank for its visitors. The German Child Protection Association needs support for the Children's Town. The family centre can thus continue the senior citizens' shopping service, organise association networking and volunteer support in TEAM RADEBEUL and carry out a media project in the MitteOst (Third Place) project. JuCo gGmbH needs support with the "Stadtkinder" project for a tree house. In order to help the Radebeul businesses affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, donors were sought in advance to provide financial support for the Christmas lottery. "This year, we are particularly grateful to these donors, who supported the Christmas lottery with a total of more than EUR 5,620," emphasises Elmar Günther. "We were able to use the money to buy "Radebeul shopping vouchers", which are now waiting in the lottery pot for the lucky winners." The shopping vouchers can be redeemed in Radebeul shops.
Buying tickets at EUR 1 each gives you the chance to win over 1,100 prizes totalling €14,000. Once again this year, the main prize is a bicycle sponsored by the Rotary Club Radebeul together with Tretmühle, as well as 57 shopping vouchers worth up to €50.00 from Björn Keyser and Michel Reimer's REWE stores.
"We arealways thrilled that so many large and small companies from Radebeul and the surrounding area participate with prizes and vouchers. Our heartfelt thanks go to all sponsors and donors for their generous support", emphasises Mathias Abraham, Director of the Radebeul Family Centre. "Inaddition to those mentioned above, we would like to emphasise the Beteiligungsgesellschaft der Stadt Radebeul mbH, Stadtwerke Elbtal GmbH, Stiftung Lichtblick, Sparkasse Meißen and Radhaus. We say thank you from the bottom of our hearts!"

The raffle tickets are available at the Office for Education, Youth and Social Affairs on Hauptstraße 4, at the Radebeul Family Centre in Altkötzschenbroda 20, at the Tourist Information Office and in many shops, parishes and daycare centres.
